Dave & Sunny Barnum

I was able to do a photo shoot the other day for a friend of the family who is a child model. Our friend needed some portraits of him so we did a small shoot. I’ve posted some of the highlights on Flickr.

Had a blast at Danielle and Jessica’s Rock Star Party this weekend.  Here’s a video clip we made.

For those of you who don’t know yet Sunny and I are expecting a baby!  While we had planned to have a baby, this one came a little earlier than we planned ;-)  Although Sunny is going through a long list of emotions, we are happy and have enjoyed going through the process and learning as we go.

We are still moving forward with our plans to join Wycliffe in the near future.  Please pray for us to be able to get through the application process.

We went to our friends’ party today.  It was titled ‘ArtLoveFantastic.’  It was an artistic party designed to bring people together through creativity and art.  It was a lot of fun.  Create because you were created, as we say.

This story is too much like Dilbert to not share..

I got balloons for my work anniversary (which is tomorrow.)  One says happy anniversary all over it and the rest are colored.

So my boss comes over to my desk and says: “Oh, you’re here.”  (Me: Yes, I’m here) “I thought you were at the other office.”  (Me: I’m Back) [Then he looks at the ballons and starts singing] “Happy birthday to you.. Happy birthday to you..”

As I started to tell him It’s not my birthday he gets distracted and walks away.

Sunny and I enjoyed a night out at a very nice restaurant on Sunday.  We were blessed by our church to be able to afford going to the restaurant.  The food was VERY tasty.  I tried Fois Gras for the first time.  My brother-in-law makes it sound like it’s to die for.. And it is very very good.  It’s basically fattend duck liver.  But, frankly, i liked the lobster dish better!  I think I liked all of Sunny’s choises better than my own.  Here are some pictures.  Some of them were a little dark and had to be fixed but the pictures were taken in candle light so they came out really well

Sunny and I went to NYC this weekend with our friends Colin, Martha, and Danielle.  We went to a conference called Awakening.  It was an awesome conference that inspired us to get real about our Christian walk.  The conference was sponsored by Christian City Church (which we’ve never heard of before but apparently started in Australia and has spread like wild fire.)  In attendance was Christian City Church Manhatten, C3 from Canada, C3 from Sydney and others.  We loved one of their worship songs.  Here is comes:

Most of our wedding thank you cards have gone out. Perhaps one of them has brought you here Sunny did all the work on putting the design together. She did a great job artistically. She is a better designer than she admits. If you missed our gallery of wedding pictures you can find it here..
